Unit 77 near Pagosa Springs

I have been in CO since Friday and it is very slow. We were hoping for snow and cold and yesterday it was 69 in the afternoon. Finally saw my first two cows this morning after this gorgeous sunrise. Hoping that slightly cooler temps the next couple days help move the elk.

Remington 760 in 30-06. Steel butt plate and all. I started shooting it when I was eleven. We had one gun and if I wanted to hunt, this was the only option. I still have it and carry it every once in a while.

No. Headed to MS St. with a buddy for the weekend to pickup his dog from Missy Oak kennels and catch the game Saturday night.
