Congrats, killed my 1st deer with a 1967 742 in 30-06. Haven't gotten it out of the safe in several years, probably about time to.

From everything I've read on multiple gun boards is loading and un loading cause the most wear on mag springs. No harm in leaving them loaded.

Finally got a decent deer on cam, nocturnal so far, but hopefully come season he makes a mistake. Not bad fo an east Tennessee mountain deer.

Equipment operator for the street dept for a small tourist town. Mostly drive big trucks and dig some holes. Worst part is getting called in every time it snows. Awesome, my boy will be old enough for the juvy hunt next year, so Santa got him a Remington model 7 in 7mm-08 and a DNZ mount. Santa hasnt decided on a scope yet. Maybe a Vortex Viper.
