Re: Pet Peeves
I could go on a while about driving peeves but this one in particular bothers me quite a bit and it’s non driving related. Mine is, when people do things just for recognition and applause of man. For example…if you help a family or someone in need…and then tell everybody about what you did to help. ...

Re: Covid
Hopefully you’ll do well with it. I had a headache for days and body aches from head to toe but mostly in areas I had previously injured, like my knee. I ran a fever for about 5 days that varied between 101 and 103.8 and it finally broke. I’ve had the flu and also flu with pneumonia and Covid was by...

Re: Which caliber?
I come from a 270 family. Dad reloads and it is his favorite caliber. He has probably loaded rounds in every combo you can get for the 270. I’ve killed a bunch of deer with it but I have also had too many instances of very well hit deer that didn’t hardly bleed. The type that when you recover the de...

Midway USA deals
I've been ordering fishing stuff from them for a while now but for those of you that didn't know, you might be surprised to see just how good of deals they post on other stuff. It's best to keep a keen eye on it. For example...last week I hopped over there to see what was on sale and to my surprise,...

Re: Baitcasters
Today’s bait casters are easy with the brakes, etc. My wife had never fished with one and I set her up with the brakes on and showed her the side arm and overhand cast. She’s done extremely well with it and in fact, had me get her another combo.

Re: Covid in the CrowT house
We’ve been to 3 different places asking about what they could give us for it. Two places said it was viral and just had to run its course. They wouldn’t give anything other then say not to take ibuprofen. The first place gave my wife a prescription for coughing and the inhaler but wouldn’t give me o...

Re: Covid in the CrowT house
Update: Now I officially have it. I thought I was going to skate by to be honest. Went back to work Wednesday night and had to leave after just 2 hours…wife said she was about to pass out and couldn’t breathe. Took her home and she was okay after hitting the inhaler thing. But this morning she came ...

Re: Covid in the CrowT house
My wife isn’t having breathing problems but is sleeping a lot. She don’t have any energy or appetite. I’ve been doing my best to get fluids down her. I bet she’s not been awake no more than 5 hours total since Friday. She took a shower Sunday and ate some soup afterwards and it totally wore her out....

Covid in the CrowT house
My wife. She has had a cough for months and sinuses. Took z packs, steroid shots, etc and still no better. She tested negative for covid but earlier this week she said she was aching all over and didn’t have any energy. I went to work Thursday evening and went to give her a bye hug and she was burni...

Re: Trip to the Mountains (Update)
I wouldn’t put too much faith in reviews. Wife and I had a bad experience at one of the higher reviewed places one time and submitted the corresponding review. It got denied. I received an email telling it had been denied and tried submitting another one but it was also rejected. That was why they h...

That’s one of the disadvantages to me working the off shift. We are expected to come in to work in crap like this…then day shift people will call in and we end up having to work over because of them.

Re: Trip to the Mountains (Update)
My last trip to vacation there was similar. It had snowed the night before our arrival and the cabins we were going to be at were out of Townsend like you were going to the Tuck Caverns. What the website pictures didn’t show was these secluded cabins were on a steep grade knob/ridge that had been te...

Re: What's your take ??
The difference is all mental. People tend to elevate certain animals over others. People in this country are appalled that people in other countries eat horses and dogs. To those people they are simply food. People say all kinds of silly cliché things. I hunt alone so I don’t ever say anything afte...

Re: What's your take ??
I'll be the odd one out I guess. Killing never did bother me and still don't. Pulling the trigger on a deer is no different to me than throwing a crappie in the livewell. One is a fish, the other a mammal...both end up on the table. Several times I have thrown the fish on the fillet board and they s...

Re: Deer season is over
This was a very strange season for me. I only got to go 4 times and killed 4 deer. Total hunting time of about 4-5 hours total. My first trip was in ML and I hunted maybe 45 minutes and had one down. I only doe hunted. I’ve never had a season where I had a 100% success rate. About an hour before dar...

Lawd no, she would fill your ear full if somebody suggested that she needed help. She doesn’t draw anything. She actually despises capable people that don’t work and calls them some colorful names lol. She was married to a guy who turned out to be a drunk and never got any child support from him for...

One of my machine operators at work is a single mom of 4. She has two newer cabins she built, one in the mtns in North Carolina and one in Tennessee. She makes $19 an hour and paid off the newer cabin in just 5 years, and has two kids in college and one in HS. It’s not luxury cabins like what you fi...

Re: Anyone watching the bowl games?
We watched the two Friday night. Had a mini new years eve game night and supper at my BILs house with some folks from church. All the guys were watching the game while the wives were playing UNO and such. Neither game was really explosive or exciting to be honest…and I’m a Bama fan. They handled bus...
