Shooting blackhorn out of my CVA Optima with nitride barrel...all I use is hoppes like I would my rifle, cleans about as easy as my rifle too.

My daughter got her first deer this morning. I'm so proud of her, she made a good shot about 30 yards out. A decent 8 pointer. Boy was she excited after shooting, I had to calm her down. We seen it fall after 30 yard run but I didn't it want to jump back up or something. This is better than me shoot...

I always give it a good poke with the barrel or a with my boot in the hind quarter to make sure it's dead.

Saturday isn't looking good here but I have a shooting house at one spot and an old truck box that overlooks a field at another. We can sit and be dry, just hope we see something. Sunday is looking good here.

Yea, hope so. Ended up getting home at 3:30am this morning. Set my alarm for 9am...dang phone rang 5 times at 7:30 and woke me up so off to the office I went. On the road now looking at work. I might get home by 7pm tonight. I bet I sleep good tonight.
