Use 4x8x1/2 OSB for sheathing. You can paint it or wrap it with Tyvek or another house wrap before you put the siding up. This. The OSB sheathing is actually rated for that exact use. Thanks guys! Yall have given me some great ideas. According to the casting stamp on the block it is a 4 bolt main. My plan is to make it just a weekend toy not really a daily driver.

I think it's a metal coping. This is the first one I ever built so I don't know a whole lot about it. I knew about the sand but he didn't want to pay for sand when he had plenty of dirt but I have been trying to talk him into it. It'll have concrete around it. From what the prints show it'll get 12 to 16 inches deep of concrete poured around the bottom of the walls then dirt from there to just below the coping. After everything has time to settle we will pour concrete around it for grounds. They are wanting stamped or staine...

Yep that is ground contact treated 3/4 inch plywood. It's very interesting to me how these things go together. Not at all like I first thought.

I don't know why someone would swap it over. I had an 76 and an 80 that were 4 speed cars and for some reason I couldn't keep back tires on them. ;) :lol:

WG, what transmission does the F-bird have? If you beef up the output too much and it has the 350turbo it may be more than it can handle. I learned that the hard way. Over and over and .......... The car does have a 350 turbo in it but the car is actually a factory 4 speed car that someone had swap...
