Re: New puppy
In the days of many decades gone by, the small dog was the one that people kept inside their homes. They tend to listen better and will sound the alarm at any noise that they don't recognize as normal. Their barking alerted the other, usually bigger dogs and then cut loose to barking. If it happene...

Re: Savage rifles
Picked up one of these in 308 yesterday. It weighs 5.5 pounds, and is about these size of a model seven Rem. Not really a bench rifle, but my old arse will sure appreciate the light weight while still hunting.
Its a model 11 lightweight hunter.

No pics this time....sorry. It was a strange feeding yesterday. I will try to explain. First off...feeder mice come in different sizes...pinkies, fuzzies, and hoppers. Pinkies are...still pink. Fuzzies are not weaned yet, but have fuzz, and hoppers are weaned...and get around pretty quick. Feeding i...

Re: 6.8 Western
I have a 6.5 prc but if I were to upgrade the 6.8 Western, the 280AI and the 7 prc would all be in the running. They shoot long heavy bullets, retain plenty of energy down range and pack a good punch with less recoil. Although I haven't shot either... Ive read recoil for the 6.8 is about 40 percent...

Rimfire during deer season... question
I know its been legal for a few years now, but just wondering how many hunters actually do it? Im referring to carrying an air rifle or rimfire during big game gun, to shoot small game with. Does anyone do this? I know ive stumbled upon some nice bucks while squirrel hunting. Wonder if it works in r...

Re: PSA..RANGE SAFETY
Not trying to make light of a very bad situation but having too many guns you actually use this could happen . Although I have more than my share I only hunt with two rifles both same caliber, two muzzleloaders . I once tried to put a 30- 06 in my Ruger m77 which is a 7mm mag. Glad it wouldn't cham...

Re: PSA..RANGE SAFETY
DAYUM!! That could have been deadly! Anybody know what the caliber mix was? Not at this time. Someone suggested that it "looked" like a rem 700. The bolt looks to be a CRF to me. If so, not a 700. Maybe a model 70, or other Mauser type actions. The box of ammo looks short....shorter even ...
