New glass for the old smokepole

Post by MUP »

Picked up a Redfield Revolution last year at a good deal and finally put it on my old CVA Kodiak Mag Fri eve. Took it out and shoot it finally late Sat eve. I only had 4 loads to shoot but was on paper 1st shot at 25 yds, then moved out to 50, then 100, making an initial adjustment at the 25 yd mark to bring it to zero. 50 yd shot was 3 high and 1/2 left, and the last shot at 100 was about 5 high and 2 right. Ended up making a blind adj for next time out. Came home and cleaned and oiled it up and set it in the safe. Feel good for next season now, but I always get it out to shoot before season anyway so I'll be sure to have it zeroed for sure before taking to the woods. It's a long way off, but dang I'm already looking forward to getting back out there with smokepole in hand!

I wanted to shoot a couple more rifles, but just no time that late in the day.
