300 WinMag ladder test

Post by MUP »

Got to shoot Sat, finally! Shot this ladder to see if I could find some accuracy nodes, and I believe I did. Check out the very first two shots, nearly touching at 200 yds right off the bat! Shots 5-6 showed promise, and then 10-11 at 1 grain under max published load looked like could be something there as well. I'll have to load 3 each at those load amounts and then drop down .3 grains and up .3 grains from each of them and shoot for groups now.

Loaded up and waiting on next year now, when the rain finally stops... I hope.

Big game and varget. I understand a lot of the Hodgdon powders are hard to get but my local guys quit carrying any ram shot powder. Trying to decide if ordering it is worth the extra cost to try it lol.

I'll keep a lookout for it here at the local Sportsman's Warehouse buddy.

I looked on their website and they suspended shipping powder lol. If you stumble across some let me know. I may have to make a trip

3 would be fine and worth the trip. If you find some text me and make sure I haven’t ordered any. If I do order I’ll let you know.
