Thanks! I just got 2 shots off at a buck in the thick stuff. He ran what sounded like about 75 to 100 yards and then crashed around and went quiet. I'm going to give him a little while and then see if I can find him.

Now,that you mentioned them I remember using them many,many moons ago. These new fangled shootin irons got us ruined. Last rifle I bought came with a scope mounted on it but no iron sights. (243 Left Hand Bolt Savage). Good to know that a least one of us can still use the old iron sights and hit what they are shootin at.
