Winter back next week?

Post by MUP »

What's the forecast looking like for the chances for snow by Wed BSK? Our local guys say they'll have to watch this one closely bc of the moisture tracking from the SW this time, with cold air settling in before the rain moves out.

Models go back and forth from rain to snow. As of this morning, they are leaning towards snow. Another storm to watch will be the following Wednesday.

Weather channel is still calling for a changeover to snow, but our locals are now calling for a low Wed night of only 50, with rain ending Thurs a.m.

Models are suggesting a couple inches on the Plateau, more in the eastern mountains.

Models still suggest a couple inches on the Plateau, more in the mountains. The first wave comes through Wednesday night into early Thursday morning. But a second wave comes through late Thursday.

From what I'm seeing, Spring will be a bit late this year, so more chances of snow. Look for big cold snaps into at least mid-March.

Still looking like a good chance for snow in the SE portion of the state?

More northern Plateau and NE TN, towards the tri-cities.

This weather sucks. Windy, cold and rain. Makes walking to class very fun.
