Fletching question

Post by Redwing »

Ok, my new bow has the string alot closer to the whisker bisquit. My fletching is 4" , obviously I have to switch to the shorter style. What are the pros and cons of the switch?

Pros for me are using the Boehning Blazer vanes. Shorter, but a little wider out. Seem to stabilize arrows better than the traditional 4" silicone vanes. Not sure of any cons at this point, but the Blazer's have worked great for me.

Be sure to use a Arizona straight Fletcher. With more of an offset creates more spin and over course of time will tear your veins off easier.
