There is an area on Mt Roosevelt WMA in Rockwood that is called Squirrel Den Holler and it's infested with them. This is the time of year when they den up and are hard to hunt.

I just got a new Bergara 22lr with carbon fiber barrel that I'd like to go kill a few with.

Man I used to love squirrel hunting, but the two old fellas that took all our squirrels and rabbits when I was younger died a few years back. I don’t eat em, so I won’t kill em if I don’t have a place for them.

My brother and I use to go to Black Fox many many many moons ago and hunt those big ol fox squirrels. Don't know if there are any still up there or even in the state of TN. Last one I saw was a couple of years ago in Anderson county

Seeing how it is legal to use a air rifle to hunt squirrels I was wondering if any of y'all hunts with a pellet rifle. I know someone who does. I been thinking about getting a 17 or 22 pellet rifle.

Ive got a neighbor thats uses a pellet rifle to hunt them. Does pretty good with it. Although, I dont know what any advantage would be....it sounds just like a 22.
