Stripers!

Post by Huntaholic »

Now that Ive got turkey season out of the way, its time to start trying for rockfish! Ive got a spot right here close to the house that produces some giant fish IF you can time it just right and the water is right. We had 5 fish one morning a few years ago that weighed 211lbs. Damn shame we had to throw back those 2 40 inchers that were in the slot. ;) Otherwise we would have had 7 fish that weighed 280lbs. My biggest so far is 53.5 lbs. Anybody got any secrets they want to share? two thumbs

The secret to fishing is go when you can. Every time!

And those numbers that you put up are awesome!
The older I get the more I understand why roosters just scream to start their day.
