Electric smokers?
Electric smokers?
In my outdoor kitchen area I current have a Big Green Egg and a Blackstone gridle. I was thinking about getting one of those electric smokers. I have heard different things about the good and bad. There are several kinds, PIt Boss, Masterbuilt, Traeger, etc. Who has one and what is your opinion? Thanks

I have a pitboss pro and love it.. I use apple wood pellets, haven’t tried any other in it.. I really don’t think you can go wrong with any one of the ones you mentioned..
Re: Electric smokers?
I have heard that sometimes things taste too smokey, is that true?

No I’ve not experienced it.. to me you get more smoke Flavor from a stick burner ..
Re: Electric smokers?
I have a Masterbuilt 40" since they first come out, it works very well, they have a lot more features these days, a smoke tube with pellets in it will smoke longer than the stock .

I have a pit boss and like it pretty good but I’ve honestly not used it used enough to know what I’m doing lol

I have the Masterbuilt one and love it. Very easy to use and everything comes out great.

Pit boss pro. Smoker on the left, gas grill on the right. Valve in between that can use right side as a smoker too. Does great. Dual temp probs. Prob temp is a little cooler than my external thermometer.
