Ive been hearing a few gobbles around here. There are 3 jakes and one nice tom still making racket around here. Ive been chasing the tom all week (except for today), hes a smart ol bird. The jakes...I could have killed any of them a few different times. I want that tom!!!

Not much going on here either Swamper
In the end it is up to the man what he becomes, and none of those other things matter. In horses, dogs and men it is character that counts. Louis L'Amour in his novel, Chancy

Heard one this morning. Saw one this afternoon between rain showers. I think I know where he roosted. May try him in the morning.

Yes he was home. Pitched out in the middle of the field like always. Won’t drop down like I need him to. Roost in a bowl in a short hollow with a 12 acre field on top. Get close in a fence row but he glides out to the field.

I hate to admit it but is smarter than I. Gobbling out there this morning but 2 points over from where he is supposed to be. Gotta work anyway. Just enjoy listing to him.

Last few mornings Ive been hearing one behind the neighbor's house across the road. I thought maybe I got him yesterday, but he was back at it this morning. Wishing I could get Tater interested in hunting them....but she's not.
