No Rain

Still none what so ever, the first chance is the 27-28th. We were supposed to get some the other day but before it got close it split and missed us.

It's ok if it misses you there. LOL But, we need some here. We have corn in the ground. We need it to grow big, strong and productive for late summer and early fall. :D

Looks like I am going to have to buy some hay, I hope it doesn't get as bad as the last time.

Front yard is starting to burn. May water just enough to keep it alive.

My front yard is a dust bowl now. I mowed a couple days ago and I literally could NOT see as I would turn back into the cloud of dust being blown up. At least it'll keep and not need mowing for a few weeks now, that is unless it just dies out. Nah, it would never do that, it'll keep sprouting back up to annoy the hound out of me to keep it cut. :D

Wait till this fall and that roll will be $50 or more. Hay will be short this winter.

If we don't get any rain soon I don't see there being a second cutting.

Just got a decent soaking. Hope it rains tomorrow as well. My new grass was looking pretty bad, and it may been to late.

We got dumped on twice today already. Wasn't calling for anything till tonight. We sure needed it, but just means more work. My beans are about ready to pick. Soon as the garden is dry enough to get in, should be ready. Blackberries were starting to turn black, rain will probably speed that along. And now, ive got two yards to mow....and one more field of hay...that was cut yesterday. Should be a busy week around here.

It's dry as a desert here. I've heard that the corn crop will be lost next week and that any rain now is too late to save it. We have 60% in the forecast today but barely even a cloud floating by so far.
