I will take extra on the sweet potatoes, but hold the ground hog. :D

Groundhog, fixed right, is as good as any roast beef you have ever ate! Its been a lllooonnnnggg time but Ive ate it, prepared by an old depression era woman, and it was fantastic!

Shane dont hardly count as depression era, but he can damn sure take over a peach cobbler and make it turn out great! LOL

I never said it wasn't good... I just don't want to eat a ground hog. The same can be said for mud turtles. They are good cooked right, but I do not want to eat them. :D

Never had no groundhog. Is it a stringy meat like venison?

If you carve it with the grain or let it dry out too much you can get some stringyness in the hams but the texture of the meat is finer.
