Rifle or Shotgun

Post by caretaker »

If you were restricted by finances or some other reason to just one fire arm what would it be?

Rifle

Shotgun

Pistol

I`m a leanin toward a shotgun. A rifle aint much good fer small game such as squirrels, rabbits, dove, ducks and turkey. A shot gun would be more versatile.Could be used with shot to hunt the above mentioned critters and loaded with punkin ball for bigger game such as deer. Also could be used for home defense. Just wondering what y`all think.

Remember this is if you could just have only one firearm.

My choice would be a suppressed .22 rimfire rifle. Pack lots of ammo and you can kill some pretty big critters, if ya know where to hit'em.

fine choice! I've probably killed more critters with a .22 than anything else

I'm gonna be the odd man out here. Yes. Shot gun is versatile. A .22 would be a good choice also. But if I could only have 1 gun it would be the 5" barrel Taurus Judge. Yep 410 shot gun rounds or 45 long colt. Anything from small to deer size game. Self defense rounds that will stop bout anyone in they tracks. And... it's small enough to carry with very little printing so it can go anywhere anytime you ready.

No worries buddy, bring up any thread you feel like talking on. I'm sure others will have an opinion on the subject as well, and maybe some will have changed their mind since bc of some reason or other. ;)

After experiencing some BLM homie harassment, coming home from work over the mtn from Chattanooga one afternoon, I decided that I was woefully underpowered in the event that there were two or more assailants firing at me, and my conclusion was the same as yours as the remedy for my issue.
