Party dog hunts

Post by Diehard »

Looks like we drew upper bald river first weekend in October again! We wanted lower Tellico but didn't get it. Oh well, I know where I will be when the dogs are turned loose!

Here is the story.

We had several good chases. Was able to listen to dogs run most of both days. Even had a sounder of hogs come by us, but they were deep in the rhododendron thicket and we couldn't see them.

I've missed the bear hunts the last two years due to family commitments, but I ain't missing it this year. I love the Upper Bald, but our group hasn't had enough people to put in for the party dog areas. We've been hunting the "outside" mainly. Still lots of good bears, but more pressure for sure.
