Chokes

Post by WG Taxidermist »

What kind of chokes do you guys shoot? I've got the original turkey choke in my mossberg 835 that came with the gun so I am considering changing it this year. What do you guys shoot?

My dad shoots a Kick's some a Rhino some and currently an Indian Creek through his 835 just depends on what shell/shot size works better for him.

Wal, seein as how I shoot an old Mossyburg 500 with a modified choke I can`t change chokes. had this old gun for purt near 40 years or so. She has been through some hell. She was stolen and hid in an old barn and exposed to the elements and pitted the bluing. I actually got a tip and found the gun myself. Couldn`t prove he did it but beat the crap outta the guy I thought took it. Caught him out drunk, took him for a ride.Left him laying. Been thinking about getting a new shot gun but every time I do I feel like I`m cheating on that ol shot gun. It has been more faithful to me than my wives or girlfriends.
I`m just here for the girl`s wet teeshirt and mud wrestling contest.

I've been using a Jellyhead , Gobblestopper and a Rem xtra full. Last year I switch out my 24 inch barrel to an 18 inch on my 870. The Gobblestopper and LB #5s patterns good with the shortie barrel but I'm going to try few more this spring.
