As of the latest model runs, the forecast is for a strong cold front to sweep through either Thursday or Friday (March 17 or 18) and low temperatures the weekend of March 19-20 could be in the mid 30s. And although it's a long way out, and two week forecasts aren't that accurate, the models also indicate an even stronger cold front the following Wednesday (March 23) which could drop morning temps below freezing on Thursday the 24th.

I hear that. Ever since I took up running I've learned to love cold weather. My 53-year-old body DOES NOT like running in heat or humidity. It just can't cool itself like it could when it was younger. Heck, trying to run long-distance yesterday with temps in the upper 70s and dew point in the mid 50s did not go well!

This morning's model runs suggest the temps will be even colder than earlier forecast for the cold front coming through late next week. Instead of lows in the mid 30s that weekend (March 19-20), lows may be below freezing.

The following week's cold snap has been delayed until the next weekend, also with lows below freezing for Saturday March 26.

Interestingly, the models suggest a possibility of snow for Saturday March 19.

Questionable at best, but if it happens it would be late Saturday night into Sunday morning.

I hope not, trees are putting on buds. And turkeys are starting to split up. Hopefully it stays like it is.

Yep, I'm hearing about the chance of another freeze that could kill some budding vegetation come Monday. :o

And expect the possibility of a couple more through the end of March.
