Some good ones starting to show up

Post by Zach Markus »

I've always wanted to have a big mature 6 point on camera to hunt but they are hard to come by around here. I believe this one is mature by the looks of his chest and brisket. What do y'all think?

Also, I believe he is about finished out but still has a little growing to do. If he will add a little more length to his tines and main beams he will be a sure enough dandy.

I replied in the gen forum Zach, but I do think I'd have him on my list...dandy 6!

Nice bucks!.... I want to see how wide the one in the dark picture gets when he's done!

Great bucks! I agree the big 6 is about done, and he may be mature. He's certainly no youngin'!

WOW! I need to get my cameras out. I usually have some out by now. I went Saturday to put some out and ran into some other problems at the camp and didn't get them out. But I will have some out next weekend. Those pictures will make you look forward to deer season!

Today's pull, he's really put on some growth in the last 2 weeks.

How much more growing time do they have in your area? That's a dang nice buck!

sdw,

The bucks in the latest pictures are done growing. Notice the narrow velvet antler tips. Those antlers will now take a few weeks to mineralize and harden into bone before the velvet sheds.

I thought they looked like they might be done but the one in the back of the first picture looks like he just got started.
