How is the population in that pond? It looks a bit skinny for the head, but may be the angle. We have a pond we had that problem with but solved it with about 3 years of removing every small bass we caught. Just curious.

Yeah it's absolutely loaded with fish, but it's actually not a pond it's a 2 acre lake.i've kept a few messes out of there and and cleaned and cooked them. Some fish that I catch out of here are very fat and healthy and some are long and skinny so I don't know what the deal is.

If thats the case you need to start taking out as many small bass as you can and get the population down. Use them as fertilizer or what ever with them just get them out. There running out of food. I promise if you do this you will see a big improvement in the quality of the fish over the next few years. If there under 14 inches get em out.

Yeah I've thought about taking a bunch of small ones out and relocating them to a pond on my farm down the road.
