In the past, I’ve always been particular about keeping my rifles as pristine as possible and still feel that way. However, I do enjoy carrying old well-worn favorites that I don’t have to worry about as much.
My old Marlin 444 is one of them, and I carried it most of the season last year and probably will this year. There’s just something about the smoothness that the well used ones acquire.
