WTB: 38 short ammo

My bil is needing some 38 short ammo for his new gun. He around west Knoxville. So let's me know what you got.

What kind of gun is it. Not trying to be pedantic but there is no .38 short cartridge in and of itself. There is .38 Colt short, .38 Colt Short centerfire, .38 Colt New Police and .38 S&W. All of which are shorter than a .38 special. If it is an old Colt it could be any of these. And they don't all interchange. If it's an S&W, H&R or RG etc or English it's probably .38 S&W. If it's Spanish made it could be any of them.

I checked one place that might have it and no luck but I'll keep my eyes open. Any chance it's a victory model Smith? A lot of those were originally .38 s&w but later converted to .38 spl.
