Took 3 (5mg) melatonin and passed out watching the UT vs FL game. Woke up around 5 I was so excited, like a kid on Christmas Day! Grabbed everything, got ready, drank my BANG and headed out the door and walked across the street on some Public TVA I hunt. Nothing all morning. Pops calls and says we have to go pay our respects to a buddy he lost. As SOON as we got back I put my camo back on and headed out again lol. At this point I’ve been in the woods for a total of 6 hours that day. As I was walking in I spooked a big doe but no biggie and told myself she’d be back. Hunted another 3 or so hours and I was dehydrated so yet again walked back to the house and got me something to drink. On my way a see 2 doe and decided to pass on them for some reason. Get back in all hydrated and ready to stay till dark. I find a spot where I was hearing blows from something earlier in the morning. All of a sudden I see one looking right at me. I had to take the shot so I did and nailed him, he ran in a big ole circle and crashed after running a total of 30 or so yards. First cross bow kill
