300 WinMag range time

Post by MUP »

Also took the 300 WinMag Sendero with me to recheck a hunting load. The grain weight is still on, but may need to adjust the seating depth a tad now.

Looks like it’s minute of heart to me!
A man is best measured not by what motivates him, but what it takes to stop him.

About a 3/4" group. Can do better and has in the past. I'll tweak it some more and see if I can get it back to sub 1/2" groups.

Don't get me wrong, that's decent enough I guess to hunt with, but youre not happy with that are you?

75.5 looks the most promising, and that horizontal stringing is most likely you due to grip pressure and cheek weld.

Could be a lot of things, especially since I haven't shot in over 2 months 😂

75.5 gr of RL 22 and 180 gr NBTs were what I first found that would shoot in this rifle. Shot .44 MOA 3 shot group at 1000 with that load. It'll shoot, but I've worn .015 off the lands shooting 220s for target loads and am now going back to the 180s for hunting, and 600 yd target shots.
