Coon hunting?
Coon hunting?
Does anyone still go? Seems like it’s not as popular anymore.
Re: Coon hunting?
I dont know who it is, but someone hunts the backside of this farm....or rather..the adjoining land. Their dogs just come over here a lot. Ive got a bunch of trail cam pics of them and their dogs.

I was wondering the same thing. I don't remember the last time I've even heard of anybody hunting them.

I got some cousins on my dads side that still do! They eat, sleep, and dream about it 24/7.

Used to, LOVED it! Competition hunting was my thing. Ive had a few real good dogs, but they got old or died on me and I never could find another one that suited me so I quit. PLUS I aint as young as I was then. Its hard to cut timber all day and chase a dog all night.
Re: Coon hunting?
We used to run dogs all the time. Hardwood competition hunted alot. I think he went every single night for 3 months straight. Poor old dog didn't have toe nails. When the last hound died wrapped us up.

I used to go all the time. I would still go if I had a place for a good dog. I’d go every night

My son and I hunt our mountain cur. It's getting tougher to hunt new ground around our parts.
