November 7 morning hunt and my last hunt for elk, the other 2 members of my hunting party headed for Tennessee yesterday.
Running solo, was on 2 elk herds this morning but only one herd had a bull. The bull was was 4x4, a legal bull, had it stopped broad side at 250 yards and crosshairs on it for several minutes but decided to let it walk. I basically came out to hunt with my friends and this area is only 15 miles from my dad's house so I'll be back next year. Shot a 5x4 last year and my goal this year was for a 6x6 so that's why I let the 4x4 walk, plus being by myself I didn't want to hassle with a small bull.
Been a great hunt though, will be back in Tennessee end of next week to whitetail hunt.
