Re: Team Hope and a Prayer
Diehard you have a question regarding using beetles in the general forum. It's in the "soup anyone" thread.

I can see about 600 yards here! Hopefully they decide to feed a little! Awfully warm right now, almost 70 degrees!

Re: Team Hope and a Prayer
12/9/21 Thursday morning
McMinn County my property
Seen 7 does , three very mature does .
Didn't load up four wheeler so I knew I was going to hunt down on the low-end. Wind wasn't exactly right for the stand I killed the seven point and doe in but it wasn't totally wrong with no more wind than we had . The thermals ought to carry my scent over them as they pass my stand going to the field , really need a southern wind . Put some doe scent out beyond my stand hoping it would mask my scent and it worked to a charm . First set a doe plus three yearlings came through caught the doe scent and came right up to it , caught me in the stand so the stare down began . I didn't move a muscle and she gave me up to nothing that was dangerous so they milled around for a while and then presided to head to the field. Last three were huge thinking bucks but couldn't put any headgear on them at all so either does or nothing I wanted to shoot . Made me not feel so bad for shooting the doe during muzzleloader after seeing all those slickheads . Hadn't been shooting does on my place up until last year shot one for the guy that gives me permission to hunt his property so now probably can take at least one a year .
Thought I might haven't go back home after seeing a tree top across my drive going in . First thought to drive over it because it wasn't to large a tree but I stopped got picked up the tree top and it felt like someone had stuck a sword in my arm and shoulder. Pulled up to my building writhing in pain but went hunting anyway . It was a chore climbing up to the lock on believe me but the Lord gave me enough strength to hunt until lunch , thank you Lord . Maybe done but go to the doctor tomorrow.
