Sorry guys but got busted on the buck I seen during muzzleloader. Sometimes the grunt tube is your friend sometimes it alerts them to your postion , latter this time. Thought I had heard a deer off behind my ladder stand after hearing a noise, got turned around finally found the culprits . Turkeys but out from the turkeys was what I thought was a deer that they had got up so I hit the grunt tube . Well turned out to be another turkey . Unknowingly the buck was coming up to check the scrape I was watching when I turned back around the buck caught my movement and took off back down the hollow. I hadn't heard him because of the damp leaves I guess . It was a little thick on that side of the hollow he came up , could've been there all along cause I had been watching that saddle. Oh well he shoud be bigger next year.

1/2/22 Morning hunt
McMinn Co .neighbors property
1 buck seen but seen me first 😆

Out for the last juvenile hunt this season! We have seen six does and a buck, couldn’t get him a shot. Have the rest of the weekend to make it happen though!

Hope he gets one buddy! He'll definitely have earned it in this weather!

Back at it for the afternoon hunt! I have three boys and their dads out here for this juvenile hunt! Weather supposed to be terrible tomorrow, so today is the day. So far, from the morning sit we have: 1 young man passed on a small 8 pnt and 21 does. He used all his doe tags on the first juvenile hunt, the second young man killed his first buck, a spike this morning, and the third young man, who I am sitting with, killed his first deer, a doe, then his first buck, a six pointer. So, plenty of opportunity today and three deer at the processor already. Now…..If the first young man will shoot one of the bucks, he will be tagged out for the year. The other two are each allowed one more doe. Hopefully they get a chance at them this evening!
