A Savage will outshoot the majority of your rifles that cost two and three times more. You say they ugly? Have you not bought a hammer because of the color? Have you ever not bought a screwdriver because it wasn't pretty? It's a tool, nothing more.

LOL I take rifles and handload for them to get the most out of their potential. That said, the only Savage I've ever owned was a Savage axis in 6.5 CM and it shot great with 140 gr NBTs over IMR 4415.

I took a Savage .223 on trade one time and sold it without ever firing a shot. Been kicking myself for a while now over letting it go. I don't remember the model# but it had a 26" bull barrel and I bet it was a tack driver.
The older I get the more I understand why roosters just scream to start their day.
I always liked savage rifles, as long as they were numbered. The axis/edge just felt cheap, cheaper than the 10. The new stocks are just awkward. Not sure how I feel but I don’t like the bottom bolt release. If nothing changes, it’ll be bergara from here on out for me.
Have owned a Savage 110 243 for a lot of years, tack driver, caretaker has a lefty that's also a tack driver straight out of the box, never had to touch the scope , folks talk shat about the others being the best but when you have to take a bunch of manufactures parts to build a rifle that will shoot I don't want any part of that. I read all the time ya but this rifle put this stock on it or trigger and I bought a new rifle so I don't have to throw parts at it to make it perform. That said I still love my Winchester mod 70 300WM for the horse power lol
I shot a Savage 110 7mag for 10+ years....it kilt a pile of deer and was as accurate as any gun I ever shot....I would not hesitate buying another one.....

I've got a .223 Savage Tactical 110 I inherited from my brother that shoots one hole groups at 100yds if you can do your part. Even the Axis and edge shoot very well for the money. I've been thinking of picking one up to try out. My buddy has one in .243 he just got and needs to zero. I bet it will be a shooter as well.
I special ordered a Savage Model 11 in 243 with left hand bolt. It came with a Nikon scope. It shoots a whole hell of a lot better than the guy shootin it.

I've got a 110 in 270 that my Deddy got me for Christmas when I was 15. I'm 43 now. It'll still shoot sub moa with any ammo besides corelok which is junk anyway

I shot one similar to this growing up. It belonged to my uncle Wayne. I was supposed to get this rifle and all his reloading equipment with his passing. Instead his druggy son sold it all. I would show up for weekend in the summer and he would have two or three flats of rounds fo me to shoot. He had a range where I could shoot 0-500 yards. I had a lot of fun figuring out how to ring the steel at various ranges. It was a .243.

Picked up one of these in 308 yesterday. It weighs 5.5 pounds, and is about these size of a model seven Rem. Not really a bench rifle, but my old arse will sure appreciate the light weight while still hunting.
Its a model 11 lightweight hunter.
I own nothing but Savage rifles. 4 are factory barrels and are sub moa. Some, I have put Criterion, Brux, or Rock Creek barrels on for a semi-custom build. They have served me well. Maybe I'm just blind but I don't see ugly in them. I also build my sml's on Savage actions.

I just traded for a Savage 110e in 30-06. Haven't shot it yet but I'm looking forward to getting it tuned up and hunting with it. I've never hunted with a bolt action before so I'm kinda looking forward to it.
