It's been awful slow around here lately. I pray everyone is well and prepared for what's in the forecast. Thankfully being retired I don't have to get out and go anywhere but safe travels to those of yall that do.

We've got plenty of beans and soup makings. Enough corn to make bread til the next crop comes in and the means to grind it. I might pick up more wheat tomorrow but I'm probably good for a bit. Have good heat, backup heat and lights, and backup to the backup heat and lights.
I pray everyone else is good as well.

If the heat does go out a Coleman lantern puts out enough heat to warm a small room. You can always cover the glass globe with aluminum foil to block the light to sleep. They run just fine on regular gas as well.

Yep, pantry is full, have a wood stove plus some buddy heaters if I were to lose power during the upcoming single digit temperature days. Also have a couple of 4000 watt generators if I need to power anything.

We'll see if TVA can keep up this time, they faltered last year.

I have a gas fireplace that is rated to heat 1000 sq. ft, but it will heat just about all of my house. Ceiling fans move the air well and there is a section open from down stairs to upstairs.
