Re: Camera move
Risky IMO. I checked mine about 10 days ago and I won't go back until I hunt. Might be over kill but I hope it increases my chances, or in the case of where my cams are this year, Franklins chances.
My regular spots that I hunt every year I haven't even been on the property's other than to put TR months ago. These aren't big places so scouting is really pointless. There either there or there not. I'm hoping with me staying out of them the deer will be there. This is the first year I have done this so I'm very curious how the sightings will be.
Hope you get some pics though and are able to connect!! Best of luck to you!!

Re: Camera move
I generally don't hunt where my camera is located...
Re: Camera move
This is a new place to hunt for me, so I feel like I need to move the camera and scout a little more.

Re: Camera move
I've left mine out for a month and a half and went back to check them Sat...against the norm for me I will say. But they had been out so long I just had to check on them. 3 of them were dead, and two still going in one area, the rest were still good. Will post some pics later.
Re: Camera move
At least nobody stole them. I got a trail camera out that I hope isn't under water down there in the hatchie bottomsMUP wrote:I've left mine out for a month and a half and went back to check them Sat...against the norm for me I will say. I believe I've taken care of the thieves around there, at least for the short term. Prosecution pending.

Re: Camera move
Interesting. I check my cams every week or two right up til Juvy and then after the season starts as well.
That's how I decide which spot to hunt with my daughters.
The biggest buck taken off our place ( a nice 10), was killed by my dad about 30 yards from where I had gotten several pics of him when I checked the week before.
Now, I'm riding a 4 whlr right to the cams each time, so that might help, but I doubt it.
