Has anyone ever gone to Canada on a black bear hunt. I think this is something I would really like to do.

Bill, it is something that I would love to do some day, but don't know if I ever will. I would like to do it some way other than over bait, personally, but I have nothing against someone who does. I would rather do a spot and stalk or drive of some sort

I agree. Shooting one with his head in a 55 gallon drum and a doughnut in his mouth just doesn't appeal to me personally.

I know some guys that have hunted them in Alaska. They did not hunt them over bait and they said it was an awesome hunt. Those black bear hunts that Jim Shockey does in the Pacific Northwest look pretty cool.

Yep those Jim Shocky hunts look fun. I really like the ones with his Dad in them. He cracks me up!!

From what I've read, Fall bear in AK is the way to go.
