Well I had my first experience with thieves

Post by Tennessee Lead »

Well I went to remove my trail cameras today. I hadn't seen them since December and hoped I still owned them. I figured I did because they are in the middle of nowhere and no way easy getting into the farm and its 550 acres.
I ran into one of the landowners as I was going back. He asked me if I would get his climber. He had took it and put it in a bottom I've killed a few in the last few years. Naturally I said I would. I found all 6 of my cams but his climber was gone. Really ticked me off that someone stole it. That could have easily been mine. That's why mine goes in and out with me. I don't know how they could got in there unless they were dropped by a helicopter.
I hope they got blisters on their feet on the climb out.
On a positive note some nice up and comers survived the winter. I found a dead 5 point and saw a potential target for a young man next Saturday morning. He had several hens with him we will have to work for him.

That sucks about his climber. It's always a big relief when I get to my cameras and they are still there.
Hopefully yall can put a turkey down next weekend.

There are few things I find less tolerable than a thief.

You think there is a chance you got the thief on one of your cams?

Thieves are scum period. I can't help but take it as a disrespectful slap in the face each time they steal something from my place. Just had a cam stolen back in Feb and my other cams had no less than 4 different trespassers on them. Still trying to identify 3 of them positively, one is a good probable regular out there.
