Saddle Mount

Post by caretaker »

I have an elderly smooth bore Mossberg 500. I have used it for dayum near every and any thing. It was even stolen by an x brother in law. I found in a barn loft. I broke him stealing from me. Any who, this on 500 is not tapped for a scope. I don't wanna fool with doing that so I have ordered a saddle mount for a scope. Any body ever use one.

I have and the lowest sitting one that I have seen is this Weaver mount. You might beat that price shopping around but $29 doesn't seem too bad

I got the UTG with the shell holder attachment. Also got a CVLife 4x32 fixed scope. with rings. It's a cheap knockoff brand scope but I figured what the heck. If it ain't worth a flip I'll replace it while sighting it in. I got the mount and scope and rings for $70 including shipping.

That's a pretty good setup. Maybe not "operator" quality but I bet it will do anything you need it to.

I hope so. I am wanting something to take to Oak Ridge where I have option of muzzle loader or shotgun. Muzzle loader good for single long shot. Shot gun gives me more shots only closer. You see what I chose.

I I can take two doe and one buck in two days. If I remember correctly the buck is a bonus buck. My full intention is to have a buck and two doe down by lunch
time and be faced with the dilemma of dragging them out
