Went with a good friend of mine to lose some lead yesterday...a guys stress relieving session if you will.

I had two tasks to accomplish other than having a good get together with my buddy, which were to sight/check my ML, and to shoot/sight the 7-08 I recently acquired. Ended up charging the ML with 60 gr wt of bh209, then dropping the crosshairs down 2 in to get 1" high at 100 yds. Then first shot from the 08 at about 50 yds after look thru bore sighting and was on paper right off the bat @ about 1-1/2" R and 3-1/2 Low. So backed up to 100 and tweaked it from there. Fine shooting rifle, with an even finer trigger pull! I've never really pulled a trigger that wasn't a factory set 3-5 lbs I'd say, but this one has to be about a lb, maybe less! I could just about mentally fire that gun it seemed! Anyway, at the end of the session, had my ML gtg, my 08 gtg, fired my buddies AR a few times with his new Eeo-tec(sp?) Red dot sight, had some more brass to load, and had dropped my stress level considerably. Albeit worn down from the relentless sun beating down on us, time very well spent!

We score trophies, but every hunt is, to some extent, a way of measuring ourselves.
