Been out for a couple days

Been at the ER in Erlanger Chattanooga with my Mom from just after midnight Thurs till Fri afternoon. She was showing signs of stroke, didn't recognize me at times, talking out of her head, she fell a couple of times at home. My brother called the ambulance for her and got her to the ER, and I was there waiting when she arrived. After several scans and an MRI showed no sign of stroke, (thank God!) my oldest daughter came by when she finished her rounds and was looking thru all my Mom's medicine and found a new one that was prescribed at a higher dose than she was used to seeing with her patients, and that it was being used together with another med that was known to have strong side effects. She related this to the Drs and they finally agreed that this combination of meds was "likely" the cause of the episode. So proud of her for that! Mom has gotten steadily better since, regaining most of her memory it seems. It's a hard thing to deal with when your Mom, who has been otherwise sharp minded and totally independent up to that point, all of a sudden have trouble remembering her own son. I thank God it turned out to be the meds and not an awful stroke.
