Muzzleloader success!
This is my best buck ever, with any weapon! He came thru on the same path as a spike had earlier that morning. After a 200 yd tracking session I found him, what relief!

Re: Muzzleloader success!
This was using my trusty load of pyrodex and a 260 gr lead conical driven inside a black sabot. Simple but effective.

He had 11" G3's, and 25" main beams. That left side G3(his right) is what I saw from over 100 yds away coming thru the woods at a gallop.

Don't know why this thread didn't get any action back when I got this deer. Oh well, I've resurrected old threads before so,

That’s a great buck. I remember when you got him. Hoping another one just as nice comes thru for you again.

Thanks buddy, and same for you! I got out finally yesterday to do some stand work, but had to cut trees instead to be able to even get in to my property. A good day tho, finally felt like getting out there was a big deal to me!

Re: Muzzleloader success!
Back then, I knew there was a good buck in the area from talking to my neighbor across the way. He had seen him in his field a couple times. He told me he was big, and that I'd know him when I saw him. This year I haven't even touched any Tcams, and haven't talked to anyone around me for months out there. I'm going in blind, which isn't bad at all, it's the way I used to hunt anyway.
