The wind blew hard here all day long yesterday. This morning there was about 2 hours where we had maybe 5 mph wind and the deer were running everywhere but it's been blowing around 20mph for the last hour or so and ain't seen nothing.

11/19 morning hunt. Had to get in a shooting house to get out of the wind.

Left work early today to try to sneak in an afternoon hunt. The wind wasn’t right for where I was going. So I’m sitting in a wasp infested shooting house watching a road and a small plot. It’s a beautiful day. Beats being at work.

I had a couple of nice does come through. They were a little too far in the thick stuff to get a good shot. This one came through at about 80 yards and stopped in an open spot

Thanksgiving day seen 4 bucks, 3 chasing 1 just crusing. 1 was a shooter but didn't give me time to set up for the long shot. Around 10:30 someone shot across the property line 15 minutes later a small buck limped out of the tree line. he was having a hard time. He would limp a couple of steps and look like he was going down. Couldn't watch him suffer, waited at the line for a hour to see if someone was looking for him. Thank you for ending his suffering. Sorry you burnt a tag on a spike when I know you would have preferred to wait for a more mature buck. Anyway he will make for some fine eatin.
