I appreciate that, it’s not easy especially when you’re not seeing any.

Tell me about it. I've hunted SE TN all my life and folks still don't believe me when I've told them that I've sat some days without seeing a single deer.

I've sat multiple days and not seen a deer brother. Those in middle and western Tennessee need to come over here to experience our lack of deer sightings. You wouldn't be so selective then . Being used to hunting middle Tennessee for over 20 years spoiled me . I've tried to be selective here but it's getting hard first buck with head gear may get popped . Don't mind letting em walk but I'm a hunter first and foremost.

What kind of setup do you have on your gun?

What all have you seen?

Rifle started as a Tikka 300wm and I put a 6.5 PRC proof research carbon barrel on it, a AG composites alpine hunter carbon stock, Athlon Ares Gen 2 4.5-27x50 scope and a Rex Silentium MG7 6.5 suppressor. I can group 8" at 800 yards with it, it's a little on the heavy side but so far I haven't had much trouble humping it through the mountains.

Seen a couple herds of elk but not a bull yet, my buddy had a spike bull 55 yards away last night but has to have 4 points to be legal. Season ends Sunday so maybe one of us will still score.
