Love and hate

I love my farm truck it's an '81 or so Ford 4x4 with bulldog and a flatbed. I had to have a guy put an electric fuel pump on it but now it's out. I need to charge or change the battery so maybe that will kick the pump in?
I'm not a mechanical guy so other than battery changes etc... I'm at a loss.
The cold weather got the battery and it won't jump with my jump box.
Would it need a strong battery to get the pump started?

I'd say get a new battery. A lot of times a week battery can cause problems. A dead one that won't jump may be the whole problem.

A fuel pump doesn't take much to run. I would think you would be able to hear it come on when you tried to start it with the jump box. I could be wrong though.

Either way you probably need to replace the battery. That is where I would start. I have had batteries that were so dead that even trying to jump with another battery or a charger just didn`t work. Seems the dead battery caused a dead short. At this time I would not replace the fuel pump. Take it one problem at a time.

Could be a bad relay.
