Finally the rain has let up. I took shelter under my stand until I was drenched. Finally gave up and went back down to IB's house. Drank a cup of coffee and promptly fell asleep watching Tv. Back in the stand with my rust spotted smokepole. Man rain and a smokepole just dont mix. I had even put a sandwich bag over the end of the barrel. I will do an unload shot this evening and do some serious cleaning and oiling. I just hope it will fire.

Went and picked up my monster doe. Terry Johnson (one of my new step brothers) who just opened a processing place told me it weight in at a whopping 46 pounds.

Didn't see anything, killed an 8 point a year ago today on this stand during rut, rut seems delayed this year, only found one small scrap.

Nov 12th. Afternoon hunt. Wasnt feeling good but went to I B"s any way. Stayed in the woods for a hour or so and got to chilling so bad I had to give it up. Visited with IB a little bit and now I am in my recliner under my favorite bkankey. Chills fever cough and sore throat.
