It has been several years since I have had a run in with a venomous snake. I have had two different copperheads strike at me in the last three days. One was as I was trimming around the foundation of my house in roane county. The second was today as I was checking cameras in Rhea county.

It must be in the air. I had 2 run ins with a couple rattlesnakes today. This one was in plain sight sunning on a rock

This one waited until my right foot was coming down on him before he buzzed. He could have easily nailed me had he wanted to. I'm pretty sure I used Gods name in vain and through in a couple f words for good measure.

The snakes have been out over the last week, must be the cooler weather or something.

Yep, I don't fool with them in any manner. My wife wanted to throw rocks at the one on the trail to get it to move on, but I wouldn't even do that. I let it go on its own.
