Just a reminder

Post by caretaker »

My boat registration expires on the 15 of June. So I extended it to 2023.

I renewed mine a couple months ago. Wanted the 3yr option, but it wouldn't give it to me. Had to go with 2yr. When I was at TWRA the other day, i ask about it. Said you had to be within 2 weeks of the expiration. Couldn't tell me why!!

Actually, what she said made no sense. She said they "CANT" be registered for more than 3 yrs. Since my expiration wasnt till july, getting a 3 yr that early would in effect give me more than 3 yrs. Wtf does it matter? I already paid for it till july anyway. Just dont make logical sense....but thats the gov for ya.

So within 2 weeks it’s ok, but not a month early. I don’t understand the govt either.

Mine ran out in May, I had no issue renewing for 3 years after it expired and I had already used it a couple times!

It is my hope that my hunting buddies and I put 9 deer in this boat during an Oak Ridge hunt. We have been put off the last couple of years because of Covid. My buddy and I have had it in the Clinch behind the jail while the water was shallow. We have used it on Norris and it performed really well.
