Well heck..
Dr calls just now and wants me to have a brain MRI asap. She says she's concerned about a possible aneurysm since the headache won't go away. I can't win for losing don't reckon.

Re: Well heck..
That's what I tried explaining to my wife, and the Dr, that headache was one of the symptoms of mastoiditis, but they thought the severity should have lessened by now. It's actually raining here now, and I feel like I have an almost "normal" barometric pressure headache now. It's not just from behind my ear now but spread all over. Hopefully it's starting to react to the large amount of anti biotics I've been pumped up with the last two weeks.7mminatree wrote:Prayers sent, if it's any conciliation, my wife kept a headach for two weeks or more when she had mastioditis.
On a brighter note, I've finally rec'd confirmation from all 3 credit reporting agencies that the bogus collection claim has been removed from my credit report. Talk about a BP reducer.

Re: Well heck..
I think the headache has lessened as of last eve, thank the Lord! This has been THE worst headache, and has lasted longer than any I've ever had by days. I still have a "headache", but it's not near as painful as it has been. Thanks again for all the prayers friends! Still have to go for that MRI today tho I reckon. After arguing with the Dr and the wife, resistance was futile.

Re: Well heck..
Well now, the insurance company didn't "approve" the MRI looks like. They asked if I wanted to reschedule, I said cancel the dern thing. I'm feeling some better, this may be a blessing, saving me a chuck of change for having an MRI that is.

Re: Well heck..
Sense when are insurance companies qualified to determine if a person needs medical care? Are they trained medical practitioners. Nope if you ask who and why and really pursue a non approval or even a non payment you will find they back pedal quickly. I think it is because they dont want people digging too deeply and possibly finding out they have high school kids looking at key words for approval or non approval.
Mup , if your doctor thinks you need the MRI have her reschedule or whatever. Sometimes we can over stubborn our self into making a bad situation worse.

Re: Well heck..
I pray that all will be well. I say to push back against the insurance company and get the scan.
I wish my Mom's dr had sent her for one when she got bad headaches instead of telling her it was stress and throwing antidepressants at her. She would have been diagnosed much sooner and might have had a better chance of survival. I don't mean to sound morbid or to scare you. I just don't want you to ignore something hoping it will go away when it could be fixed if diagnosed properly and early. I like you and want you to be healthy

Re: Well heck..
Agree with the other posts above, a least might get a second opinion from another doc. You just never know, Steve. I'm remembering back two years ago my even my MRI was misdiagnosed. I thought I was a dead man for three months. A second opinion saved my entire health and well being. My prayers are ongoing for you.
