best trophy yet

Post by jdbintn »

This is my favorite deer yet, not the biggest, but my wife and 22 month old son scouted the spot with me a few days ago. What a great morning!

Awesome Jason, just awesome! Jason and I met at the processor on Monday with our kills. We both took off work Monday to hunt! super

Nice buck. My most cherished trophy is a 9 pt., and not near my biggest, I took in a blizzard in 2002. Tracked him for over three miles, he put the slip on me twice in some very deep snow. Then like divine intervention the skies cleared and the sun came out. I saw him standing in a power line easement at over 300 yards. Made the shot with my old .243 and he dropped. I think it was the hunt of my life. So, cherish that memory jdbintn. It's not the size of the buck but manner and means of the harvest. I'd like to see a thread started with folks most cherished trophies and or hunts, even it no animal was harvested. I'd like to read peoples stories, I'm sure there are some great ones out there. Congrats jd
