Anyone use a raised bed to garden ? Thinking of building 1 and was wondering what kind of lumber you used .

Best is cross ties,they'll last several years.

JW if it were me I'd cut some logs. They will last long enough and you don't have to worry about all the chemicals

I went to the local hardware store and had them cut some 6x6's for what I needed. Just enough to get the garden soil up to the tops of them after staking them in the ground, just flat on the ground.

we been doing it for 2 years now, it better to keep weeds out. we use old wooden crates from where I use to work at. around 2 foot is what the pros say.
