I was out on the deck looking hard for one, conditions were right and I'd say there was one close by. We saw one one 30 mi out from Destin on a fishing charter a few years ago. Weird being that far out and have one out on the water close by!

Saw one many many moons ago. I was staying in Treasure Island and went on a chartered fishing trip. Dang storm was on us quick. Got my sea legs that day.

Scary but fascinating. Never seen one in real life myself. Not sure if I should feel sad or lucky. lol

Soon as they hit the shore they dissipate. But I sure wouldn't wanna be near it when it did.

Sure wouldn't wanna be on the boat and run into one. Pretty easy to run from them though.
